Armed with an older fuji 2 megapixel camera I used the movie mode but I shot in the 'portrait' position ..thus when it plays in windows media player it's 'sideways' when viewed. So how do I rotate it?

It's an .avi file. I dropped it into the ms movie maker but there's nothing in there I can see that will allow me to rotate the thing.

I'm thinking that because each frame is a .jpeg there must be a way to drop it into ps and do a batch rotate but on this old clunker of a 'puter that would take a week.

Any ideas? I'm really hoping it's one of those "Well dumbass all you do is........"

Thanks. =)

I Googled, here's how it went from start to end:

quote:
Bilinear and bicubic resampling -- no blocky resizes or rotates here.

I have not tried the software, but it sounds promising.

^ Well I did say 'dumbass.' =)

Thanks Zava.

That's one very interesting piece of software. It's downright freaky when it comes to 'rotate.' It rotates the signal from your video card.

The icon sits in the systray. when I started playing the video...clicked the 'rotate 90 right' and everything rotates.... media player.... windows itself... the taskbar...everything rotates 90. The mouse is completely disorienting.

There's just a ton of stuff in there I know nothing about... such as
Anisotropic filtering optimization
Trilinear filtering optimization
Pixel Shader
Geometry instancing.

Nifty little utiliy for figuring out overclocking settings and the list goes on.

I'll see if I can figure out how to apply the rotation to just the file.

No I just gotta get rid of this kink in my neck and I'll be just fine...but I must admit you both look much bettter this way. =)

I don't really know, but I would have thought when rotating exactly 90 degrees that there would be no need to do any resampling, or blur of any kind.

OK... Success..... and I found it in that MS moviemaker. The 'Rotate' command is under and near the bottom of 'Video Effects' . Thought I looked there before... in fact I'm sure I did... but clearly didn't dig deep enough.
