Story (summary of problem at bottom of post): Part of my job is to make banners for the company I work for. We closely cooperate with another company, and most of the banners I make for us go on their site. They use a microsoft cms for placing the banners on the site.

Now had to make a banner of 120 x 200 for the right column on this page It HAD to be a flash banner so I complied and made one.

I got the banner returned, as it wouldn't stay 120x200 but instead grew and twisted the whole column out of proportions. I have tried everything I can think of to define the size of the movie but nothing works.

I posted this problem on antoher forum and there they said I could only define the size of the movie by controlling it from html. That's not possible, because of the cms.
I know it is possible to define a fixed size because they had similar problems with another banner from another company. And they did something which fixed the problem. I can't contact the designers of that banner because of all the company relation stuff. So therefore I'm posting here. With you being my only hope.

Summary: flash banner won't stay fixed size and mutilates page layout. Have to fix size without being able to work directly in the page source.

this is my first post here I've been lurking for quite some time though. Hopefully that does not count against me...I'm still learning alot and can't contribute much knowledge yet.

2nd post ...

Oh well, as such things go, the problem is solved now. It appears that between the banner which worked and my banner, the maintenance company has been modifying the pages of Sitecore (the name of the CMS). So the wrong display wasn't the fault of my flash banners.

*very very relieved* I've been trying to get this fixed since thursday last week. I spent about 6 hours getting this right with no result.
