Topic: How do we can set a link to download with out promting !! (Page 1 of 1)

Hi ,
I have a link in my hand. On clicking that I need to download the file in to a prticluar directory, with out any prompting. How can we do that.

For security reasons, you can't (afaik).

Yeah, for security it can't be any directory, and just for common sense and not screwing with people's GUIs, it can't be without prompting.

If you only need it for yourself, Firefox for Windows allows ALT+LEFT_CLICK.
