Hello,

here are two snapshots of a temp design I am working on for my homepage. It's time for major.changes@beyondwonderland.com

Therefore, time to humbly ask for a review, tips and thoughts.

Righto.
Actually, beyondwo is about to enter "standby" mode. It has reached 250'000 hits, mostly downloads oddly, and mostly, downloads of my OpenGL and stuff.

So I thought it was time to give users real rabbits to follow.

Read: really real cutting edge widgets that turn your 2006 hardware upside down.

Standby mode would mean three links:
- galleries, more structured, working, and simple (all visual things: applets, snippets, images, whatever)
- resume - the current one is classy as can be
- contact - mail form

Would like to lay out these three linkies as a slight curve, along the bottom part of the face (my face). And would like to make this a liquid, javascripted temp layout, which automatically
displays a picture that would be a perfect resolution match to the user. Some more design, the designers republic way, nice rollovers, etc... would avoid making it a bland "wait".

So the above snapshots represent a "web page layout draft" of sorts.
They should express change, staying "focused on the user", simplification, and something mysterious and abstract, but solid, still.
That's it for the ideas behind.

The idea of a really slim site architecture is great.

But please pretty please loose the effect on the image. It looks cheap. Keep it simple, i.e. desaturate the picture and decrease the contrast.

Not sure if you mean the original picture, or the "4 colors palette" version.

I tried this in the meantime:
