Aaargh... I'm have a sudden problem with the text tool in PS6.

I've tried to search the database here but the Asylum is very creaky tonight... I think it's those free shock treatments Suho's been giving after his very successful POW comp

Aaanyway... I've been placing text on photos for hours and suddenly when I hit the type tool, the normal full size cursor comes up but there's no type appearing... just a very small blinking cusor about 2-3 pixels high but it's not small text.

I seem to recall having this problem a long time ago and it was a real simple click to fix... but not tonight... perhaps the brain's fried and it's time for sleep.

Mayhap someone will recognize my stupid error whilst I nap

[edit] It seems to be something peculiar to the one run of photos from a different camera.

Link here for a sample with text as usual and here for the image that won't co-operate! [/edit]

my asylum-search fu suggest you check the resolution on those particular images ( should be 72 dpi, problem might araise if it's 1 dpi).

By jove, he's got it... thanks TP

I wonder how on earth that particular image got set at 1 dpi, as I never changed the image from the sizes they were sent to me

Many thanks, it was really bugging me... especially when I could place the text using Paint
