I'm not one to ask for software but can someone send me iPhoto 5?

Although that might be the easiest solution, I'm only moderately interested in that. To make a long story short, it appears as though at some point I deleted my copy of the program. Despite having my OS X Tiger install DVD, the only way to re-install iPhoto is to restore my Powerbook to factory settings through the restore disk. I'm not a photographer. I bought a new digital camera and took some pictures with it that I wanted to view with iPhoto. It's not really worth the hassle of backing everything up and restoring my computer to gain the program. Nor is it worth spending $79 to upgrade to iLife '06.

I tried Google but couldn't find a link to anything but upgrades. Does anyone out there know where I could download iPhoto or a similar program.

Whoops, my first double post of the year. So I guess I don't have to report to master Suho for this one little infraction do I? But, but, I have a twitchy finger, and a lazy eye, but, but.
Ah well, busted I guess. I love the smell of kilowatts in the morning.

I stumbled upon this here . Hopefully it is what you are looking for. I am presuming you are looking for Mac software only?

Oh flippin' heck what a clot I do be. You said iPhoto 5 didn't you? Sorry about that Jestah, my link takes you to iPhoto 4.0.3. It's back to Master Suho's lab for me. I wonder if he has finished developing the iShock yet, save on all this queuing.

[doh]I've found a whole page of iPhotos up to iPhoto 6.4 here is the page

Thanks for looking Tao. Those downloads, like the ones that I found, are to updates. Although iPhoto 5 came free with my Powerbook, it appears as though Apple does not offer a download to the base application (ie: iPhoto 5.0). Despite that, I was able to restore the program. For those who may have similar issues, here is my process:

- Download Pacifist
- Load restore disk
- Click "Open Apple Install Packages"
- Contents of Additional Applications > Contents of iPhoto
- install

After that just follow the prompts like you would any installation. It installs in no time but this appears to be an area where Apple clearly lags behind the competition.

Drat and double drat sorry about that Jestah, I'm running XP so did not have that opportunity to download and test and in my haste I did not see any mention of upgrades. Still, glad you got it sorted.
