I got myself a ticket to see a vveeeeerrry famous rock band's tour in Europe - not easy, and not easy to see them
in a decent setting.

The location is an antique roman arena, completely preserved, here :

...up to you to (avoid google and) guess who is playing there next Wednesday.

Righto. For the record, they are bringing a stroboscope wall along, which makes for the largest electricity requirement
the festival ever had to stand. I love the nin/arena contrast this said. Will try to bring back pictures.

THAT concert was a blast. Might have been the very best I ever attended.
Sound : perfect, every single note was crystal clear.
Setting : amazing, an arena in the wild, gladiator vs renzinator
Visuals : stunning. They brought generators from Germany for the sake of breaking the local limit of 400amps for input -
afaik, all concert halls in the nation are limited to 400amps, NiN wanted 1000, or no show. We had a hell of a show

Performance and "feeling" : the purest.

One regret, only one : they "only" played some two hours of their greatest hits. Which does not cover 10% of the wonders they made imho

Trent Reznor did deliver beyond all my expectations.

And rock'o'z'arenes, the festival, have impressed me equally.

I saw NIN a few years ago. Was a great concert. They opened for David Bowie. At the end they all came out and did Scary Monsters.
Trent Reznor actually played sax on a couple of tunes

That guy is a genius, period. Such a perfectionist, such a dedicated artist to his audience, he was so touched
at the public getting mad, the light show was a total blast : transparent stroboscope leds driven by computer (trent was handling
some of it during some songs with a laptop - while singing). With the leds, they displayed lots of very interesting and beautiful effects,
sometimes the group standing behind, sometimes before the wall - original, magic, this concert was...

I am still emotional when I think about it, a child's dream come true.

Only show that I saw which can be considered almost as good for visuals was Chemical Brothers, recently also,
but Chemical Brothers do great music... yet they can't drive me mad like I was a couple of nights ago.
