Eh. Not a big fan of Korean search engines, to be honest. I think they've get a way to go before they can match Google's capabilities in English. Even Google Korea is much worse than Google in English. In my opinion, at least.

Another opinion: people throw around the term "bilingual" way too much. "Bilingual" means you can speak two languages at native speaker level. A lot of Koreans can write and speak English, but I would call very, very few of them bilingual. I've been here for twelve years and can speak Korean quite fluently, and I would still never describe myself as bilingual. Simply speaking a second language fluently doesn't make you bilingual.

One of my many, many pet peeves.

I've witnessed Suho's bilingualism (whoops! make that ability-to-speak-two-language-ism) first hand. It's a truly wonderful thing to have under one's belt.

Speaking of biliguality, I'm with SUHO here. I think my written English skills are quite descent but I can't hide my French accent or the fact that I only speak English every day since 2 years. Therefore I will not dare calling myself bilingual. Also my vocabulary is mainly technical, I miss every day's life words.

Actually, I'm not bad at reading Spanish but am too afraid to speak it. But the only way I'll learn it is to start using it and where I live that's not hard to do. I'm just too self-conscious about it.

I speak more than two languages, but I would not call myself bi (or whatever) lingual.

I only speak English as a native speaker.

So in any other language, I have a dialect.

I do not consider that bilingual.

Hey Bugs! Good to see you!

That was a few years ago, wasn't it? I remember it as the first and last time I had bubble tea.

Hopefully life will take me back down California way soon...

WS: What do you speak, besides English and German? I really need to brush up on both my German and French before I could even consider trying to have a conversation in either. My Japanese has suffered the ravages of time as well. So it's down to two languages for me at the moment.

I also speak Spanish and a bit of Italian and French (Italian and French I haven't used in decades - really rusty there).

WS: Nice. Despite growing up in orbit around NYC, I never really learned to speak Spanish.

Bugs: I'll definitely be looking you up the next time we're in your neighborhood. Last time was a bit too brief.
