The "player" image should be layered
on top of the other images.

I'll probably redo the nav to be both more css friendly and user friendly - regardless,
Safari doesn't seem to like top: and bottom: attributes in percent - as far as my page is concerned at least.

This is also visible in : http://www.beyondwonderland.com/index.plain.html

Anybody has an idea why and how to work around it? I am a bit lost here.

That's a pretty odd way of trying to center stuff. If you know the height of the content, this is probably going to be the simplest method.
