'been looking for a nifty image viewer the other day and came across this one:

position:fixed; isnt supported by IE6, or am i wrong? but that might be the reason

There are legions of .htc on the net to make IE5.5-6 "support" position:fixed;

Ooh I like that second website, It's also good to see that Lightbox doesn't rely on the Prototype or Scriptaculous libraries anymore.

I've used Slimbox in the past with great results, it does rely on the mooTools library though, which IMHO is one of the best.

The problem with such behaviour scripts is that they're quite a performance hit. That's why it's sometimes better to avoid unsupported properties.
