Topic: Forums Best Of (Page 1 of 1)

Currently, there are :
- forums, sink, archives (and faq).

As the three (four) main divisions of this place.

What about : a best of, a really selective best of of all threads EVER?
(and I would suggest - all 20 liners, all sig contests, all mini-tutes by Weadah, Mahjqa, all 256 byte javascripts,
and all Warjournal rambles - to begin with. I'd throw in some of the best Photoshop Pong, some of the Philo,
the most interesting site reviews, and all other friendly contests I could forget).

Yeah, they are, don't even mention. But there is a nice thing we can do : this is inspired by VBulletin.
Believe it or not, I post even less meaningfully titled threads in some areas of the web

In one of the VBulletins I frequent, they have a forum called "Best Of".
That one could use - sub forums that look exactly like the "forums" branch itself.

Then we can pretty much automate, and that's what they did over there, the first steps of cleansing :
- everything started by Weadah -> moved over
- everything started by WJ, Mahjqa, etc..
- everything 20 liner -> moved over
- etc, etc.

Is that a form that you would like for such a best of area?
I find it's utterly cool in that other forum I mentionned.

It would be a MAJOR step in making some of the shinyest pills stand out.

*bump* just re-read the "Best Of" section of that other forum.
It simply is one more forum where they move the cream, in chunks (by posters, by topic, etc.).

It's GREAT "for further reference".

Anyone else would love to find the best tuts and stuff at a glance?

What about an additional "digg this topic" kind of button to automate it even more?
