Hi all, I have a person I did some web stuff for that wants some software to password protect certain folders. He doesn't want the password to be stored and he wants to have to put the password in every time the folder is accessed.

He is running XP and Vista.

I'm sure he doesn't mind paying but would rather keep it free or there abouts. So, instead of me just downloading a bunch of free trial stuff, I'd like your recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks mas. I should have said so but... I showed him TruCrypt and he felt that it was a bit cumbersome. Didn't want to have to "mount" the drive and then do what he needs and then unmount the drive.

He wants it so if he or anyone clicks on the folder, it asks for a password.

Many moons ago, I used Encrypted Magic Folders. Don't know how strong it is, though.

Tell him to put all his porn on a portable hard drive then he can hide it when his wife comes home.
