If you're not too too picky and have need for a quick and dirty sepia type look.

Fill background with something like R181 G141 B113. (lite brown) or whatever colour you like.
Drag your photo of choice onto a new layer. Set layer to Luminosity. Voila.

I did say Sepia like Quick and Dirty. =)

Tinker accordingly.... add noise... a few scratches.

Probably the last to know... but just in case.

Thanks NoJive I love getting Photoshop tips.
I'm wondering what version of PS you are using? I seem to remember that you are using a version earlier than PS7, is that so?
I think it is always a good idea to have a few ways to go about achieving a desired result. I am now using PS CS3 extended, but I think this method will work pre CS.

Just go to Hue&Sat in the layers pallet and click on the colourise box. Usually the default setting is an acceptable sepia but now you have a wide spectrum of choice with the added bonus of a layer mask to fine tune your image.

We should have more of this.

NoJive: Or if the lite brown layer is on top of the image, set it to Hue.
