Can anyone tell me why a border that I created around a table would not appear in IE7.0. When I view the site using IE6.0 the border appears.
The site is www.ashevilletrackclub.org and the border should be should appear around the table under the GP scoring on the main page.

Any help would be good.

Could be because border is not a valid XHTML attribute (and neither are the cellspacing and cellpadding attributes).

That's what CSS is for!

You have a whole lot of problems with such details in your code - run it through a validator.

howdy neighbor

You have lot of errors on that page

That border="5" thing is really outdated anyway. Like DL-44 said, use CSS to style it. It will look a lot nicer and you viewers will appreciate it

No, they're valid in XHTML, but...

...this is true.

One should also question whether why to use XHTML over HTML.

They break the validator from time to time, but ATM it lets them through (as valid). They're valid according to the spec, too, however.
