Well hello.

It's been awhile since I posted to the lists here. Been rather busy. But I am interested in hearing
what people/believe about the North American Union, allegedly agreed to by the three North American governments, Canada, USA, Mexico.
Here's one link to some info:http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=14965

In the plan to homogenize the peoples of the three countries is:
*Replacement of national constitutions (proposed)
*Erasure of national boundaries (proposed)
*Adoption of an ID card that will pass the borders (already in place).
*Replacement of current monies (Amero being minted now)
*Biometric data in Passport Cards and Passports used to cross borders

404 on the news link. I did find this, though: [urlhttp://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/08/20070821-3.html]U.S., Canada, Mexico Joint Press Availability[/url]

Search for "north american union" in that document for the question on that topic and the three leaders responses (summary: there are no plans for a NAU).

And I think that's the reason why no one is discussing this: because it is yet another in a long line of conspiracy theories.

Actually, come to think of it, wasn't there a thread here that discussed the Amero? Lemme go look...

[Edit: Hmm... that's odd. A quick search turns up nothing, but I could have sworn someone had mentioned it not too long ago...

Oh my God--it's a conspiracy to keep us quiet! They've already infiltrated our ranks! ]

LOL! Now that's funny!

Sorry bout the link, maybe I didn't paste it right. Haven't been here in awhile. I replaced it above and there are thousands of similar links on both sides of the issue.

"Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get me" - author unknown

However, so much humor has been created around conspiracies that none are taken seriously anymore.
And that itself should be cause for concern. Ever heard of boiling the frog?

If you haven't here's how it goes:
If you boil water and put a frog in it, the frog will jump out immediately (and probably shake its fist at you).
If you put cold water in the pot and put the frog in, and THEN turn the heat on, the frog will boil to death. Why? It doesn't notice the change.

My point? America is the frog. The world political system is the heat. The heat comes from every other country deciding for America what is right for it. The people of this country have been so dumbed down, they don't know the water is boiling.

Ah, crap... I screwed up the link in my original post up there. It should look like this:

U.S., Canada, Mexico Joint Press Availability

(Hurray for time limits on post editing!)

Honestly, though, it's just a bit too much for me to believe right now. I'm not necessarily saying that all conspiracy theories are automatically false, but this one... well, it's like NoJive said, basically.

Master Suho, I believe there was a thread posted a while ago for a web video that talked about the Illuminati and control over people. It covered the beginning of most religions then went on to how banks were formed and ultimately the Federal Reserve.

*goes and rummages...

Aha! Zeitgeist - The Movie

Yeah, anyway they talked in there about the NAU, and how it will lead to a global union eventually, but that will happen long after we're all dead... allegedly...

Allegedly, but with the current state of affairs, you really never know.

Read an interesting column in the FT yesterday along those lines.

As far as the NAU and SPP...pshaw...that is so last year.

I didn't like Zeitgeist ... sounded like a big pile of bull to me ... I watched it and it was enjoyable as a thought exercise but not much else ...
