FC4 is way past EOL. I believe FC8 is almost to EOL. Most repositories stop supporting packages for a release after it is EOL. You will probably need to find the source files or rpms and download them your self which means resolving the dependencies on your own. If you find a source for the older source files (they shoudl be available on the net) you could build your own repository and install from there. |

Yea, the whole EOL bit didn't occur to me until late yesterday when I found the fedora archives repo. I would be very happy moving up to something a little more recent, but I'm afraid we get what we get on these boxes. When I get time on this project, I might try to put together our own internal repo of the FC4 based sources... Until then though, I'll get this one updated and just make an image that I can reuse on the other boxes. |

Whe I said "resolving the dependencies on your own", I was thinking about upgrading indivdual packages and downoading each package (and it's dependancies). I then had the thought that you could download all the source files to a local machine, make your own repository and use a package manager to upgrade everything. I should probably have made that second thought another paragraph to indicate it was a separate train of thought. |
