SPECIAL BULLETIN - An objective look at Marxism in America
The most Marxist of you will snort in disgust after reading a few lines but I don't care about that. I'm looking for people who aren't living with their heads in their asses. The ones who care what becomes of this country, even if it costs them something. I will always live for the betterment of others the preservation of personal dignity, and the liberty they need, regardless the cost to me - I'm an American. Read on if that's you. Eat shit and die if you care more about yourself than others like he does.

This from Russia's leading paper:
Russia Rebukes America for Turning Marxist

Could it possibly be true that one of the most insightful voices of clarity about current events in America could come from Pravda, the premier Russian Newspaper? An editorial published in Pravda is a sweeping summary of what is now happening in America that is, and should, cause every American to consider what is transpiring in our country now. The editorial begins with a stunning summary of America's present plight, and then elaborates powerfully. It may come across as insulting, but if we are wise, it will not be insulting, but sobering. The following is an abbreviated excerpt of the editorial.

http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/107459-0/

"It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American dissent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in D.C. that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonald's burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy"; Pride blinds the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed gleefully by the ignorant self-serving, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" which were for the most part little more than Sunday circuses, and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more than happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo-Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning"side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject their Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past months has been truly impressive. His spending and printing money has been record-setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic (Germany in the 1930s) and at worst Zimbabwe. .

These past two weeks have been the most breathtaking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more than ordinary street thugs in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American President now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs, and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise that the American President has followed this up with a "bold" (read "brazen") move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies (guarantees). I am sure that if given the chance they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less than two months ago, warned Obama and U.K.'s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper. . .but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury Department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator (actually "Congressman") Barney Franks . . . and his Marxist enlightenment has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker." - Stanislav Mishin

I personally applaud President Obama for trying to reset our relations with Russia, which had become strained under President Bush. Russia and America should now be allies and very good friends. However, President Obama has some basic misunderstandings about Russia, just as he obviously does about America.

Russia is in fact going in the opposite direction of the United States, gradually being liberated from the most terrible of all human yokes of bondage, Marxism, and they accurately now see America falling to this ultimate evil. Regardless of the distorted picture the American media has presented about Russia and Putin in particular, they are determined to forever be free of Marxism because they have experienced its evils firsthand. No one knows better that Marxism has never worked, and can never work, better than those who have been under its terrible yoke.

[But that won't stop Momma Obama from trying to be the most powerful (in control) man in the world]

Prime Minister Putin did bring increasing control over Russia, but it was not for the reasons assumed by most in the West. When someone has been in prison for more than just a few months, with but rare exceptions, their "decision maker" gets broken, and they have a hard time making even the most basic personal decisions. For this reason, recently freed prisoners have a hard time coping with freedom that comes at them too fast. This is why many released prisoners have such a hard time being free that they will commit crimes and purposely get caught in order to go back to prison where they feel more secure. In this same way, Russia had been in prison for more than seventy years and few Russians were able to cope with their new freedoms. Some even started desiring communism again where their lives were controlled for them.

However, returning to communism economically was not possible because communism will bankrupt even the wealthiest nation fast, and Russia was bankrupt. With the vacuum being quickly filled by organized crime, Putin brought back a measure of control until the people could grow in the decisiveness needed for true freedom, and he has done this without resorting back to Marxism. Marxism does not work, and it is the ultimate form of human slavery, plundering mankind of not only its wealth, but of its most basic humanity.

China also learned that Marxism does not work and they gradually freed their people economically. As the people have learned to cope with this freedom and prosper, they are demanding freedom in other areas too and are gradually getting them. To the astonishment of the Chinese and the Russians, America is going in the opposite direction, fast! Even the President of France chided the Obama Administration that their economic policies were "paving a road to hell.&"

Just as Russia had to reign in freedom because it was given too fast for the people to cope with it, the fast Marxist changes that the Obama Administration is trying to impose on America are starting to create a big kickback. The Town Hall Meetings that began with the outrage about the Health Care legislation proposed in HR3200 is quickly becoming much larger in scope, as well it should. The mentality behind HR3200 and other recent legislation is becoming clearer, and is shocking and waking up America to what is really being imposed on us.

Studies have shown that America is a center-right nation. If you had a scale of 1 to 10, with one being the extreme left, and 10 being the extreme right, America would be a 6.5. After the shocking economic earthquake in the last year of the Bush Administration, America was willing to move a little more to the left, which has proven it is always willing to do under economic shaking. However, most were expecting Obama to govern from the center, and maybe try to take America to a 4 on the scale, but almost no one foresaw the jerking of America to the extreme left that has come. Contrary to the editorial in Pravda, it is not likely that America will go this way as "sheeple," but will resist with increasing resolve. If the Obama Administration is not pushed back to the center fast, we will see tensions rising with corresponding speed the way the nation has been jerked to the left.

It is already becoming widely discussed that we are now in the biggest constitutional crisis since the Civil War. Obama seems to want to reduce America to 3rd world status. If this tension is not removed by a turning back to the center by Obama quickly, the next few months may be some of the most intense America has experienced internally since the Civil War. How this will go will become clear soon after Congress comes back into session. It is obvious that there is now much more than our economy and our health care system that is at stake. We, therefore, must ask ourselves right now two most important questions:

1. Do we really want to give up life as we know it?
2. What should we do as citizens?

I agree the USA is walking a fine line these days, and parts of the Hitler:Obama comparisons are disturbingly accurate (other parts are utter nonsense, and one could argue Hitler:Bush works much better).

I'm not sure where Islam comes into it... unless by "Islam" you meant middle easterners that got tired of largely Republican USA meddling in their lands (or insert your own conspiracy theory) and blew up a building which caused the Republican president to be able to do even more retarded things which virtually guaranteed his replacement would be a Democrat, which ended up being Obama.

I also don't see what Marxism has to do with it, though coming from Russia it's understandable given the internationally widespread misconception that the Soviet Union had much to do with Marxism.

Personally I wish Bush had done more to become a dictator, so we could've owned him hard and had real reform then, now we're just waiting... waiting, waiting to see if Obama & co. can improve anything much, meanwhile people forget how much worse Republicans are at this, even if Democrats suck it hard, too.

So far Obama hasn't done much. If we manage some semblance of decent healthcare we still have the DMCA and the Patriot Act, two unjust wars/occupations, an unfair tax system, banks running everything, etc., etc.. Little of this is Obama's fault, but I'm not sure who else has the pull to potentially fix it without a proper revolution.

It would be nice to have a president who knows what he's doing. I wonder who the last one of those was.

Change is an inevitable part of life and you can either live in this world full of fear or you can accept it for what it is. Fuck fear, fuck ideology, this system or that system, this religion or that religion, it all comes down to human beings being human beings - as a whole we corrupt and destroy all that we touch eventually. A couple generations lower on the totem pole is exactly what the people of this country needs so future generations can cycle back around to appreciating everything we take for granted. It needs to happen and it will happen regardless of my feelings or your feelings on it. Let's just hope it doesn't get too messy in the process.

Well, you can rant and cheer for your "team", neglecting your own personal growth, playing the hideous game that has been going on for thousands of years, or you can just sit back and enjoy the ride, focus on your life and being the change you want to see in the world. The latter is much more enjoyable. Everyone talks too damn much anymore with so little to say, change begins inside.

You all have your heads so far up your asses you're going to need to install a breathing vent.

When did it get crazy? Not that YOU care DL but it got crazy when the sheeple in this country wanted change so bad they chose anybody who would run for office that offered change.

Never mind it still hasn't been PROVEN Obama is a citizen. Never mind Obama had never run so much as a candy store before being elected, and you expect him to run a country. Never mind he is spewing anti-American rhetoric, when he goes overseas and against the Constitutional description of what it is to be American, and you jump right in. You are just as stupid as he is.

Ah, but I got sucked in again. It's something DL, Tao, and nojive are really good at.

And reisio, I read with interest what you said. As far as I'm concerned, you're the only one who showed any intelligence. The others tried to refute a bona-fide Pravda article or make it sound false but not you. Now you will loose your friends here because I agreed with you.

Don't buy into their liberal sheeple crap about it being an unjust war in the gulf. That comes from a bumper-sticker mentality liberals love. Some friends of mine died in the trade center attacks and their families think it's pretty justified!.

Don't listen to the lies. Liberals want everyone to believe they are right because they want control. They just throw out the entire middle and right to be comfortable. I can hear the laughter of the middle east and ex-soviets as we start down the road they discovered led to nowhere but suffering for everyone.

You need to take a serious pause and stop and think about what you just said here, mister!

First of all, my condolences to both your friends and their families for those they lost in the 9/11 attacks.

But as has been proven, time and again, Iraq had abso-fucking-lutely NOTHING to do with the attacks on 9/11!!!!!!

Are you off your rocker?!

First of all, I still believe in America. I believe in it deeply. I believe in it because I saw a land drove into the mud by a fucking dick-swinging egomaniac that found it's way back to what makes it great and took it's thumb out of it's ass and elected Barack Obama as President.

George W Bush fucked the country and the world up so badly, that we will be spending literally decades trying to repair the damage and just get back to where we were before he got his inept hands on power.

After what the Republicans did under W, I was more than glad to become a Democrate. And after seeing what McCain did, hauling Palin on board...words fail to express my utter amazement at the level of stupidity that has seized the Republicans.

Now, don't get me wrong here. There are just as many whacko leftists out there as there are Rightwing nutjobs. But the difference is that most of the lefty whackos hate each other as much as the Repulicans. Not so with the nutjobs. If one wishes to talk about sheeple, then you need look no further than the Rightwing nutjobs.

I just cannot believe that you, Allewyn, believe despite all factual evidence to the contrary that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11.

If I sent you a chain mail claiming that the tooth fairy was real, would you believe it as well?

They are different, and if it makes you feel any better, Socialists and Marxists are often against Welfare states, but a Welfare state is what is most common amongst most 1st world countries, not Socialist programs.

Services such as unemployment benefit, minimum wage, and health care can be provided by a Welfare state, and do not mean a country is turning to Socialism.

I have to say that I respectfully disagree with you, Jestah.

It is not "socialist" programs, nor politicians that are "slowly destroying the country". It is the People themselves.

When we allow others to trample all over the Constitution and turn everyone into Sheeple, well, why do YOU point your finger at those who are being allowed to do it?

Turn that finger around and point it where it belongs.

At those allowing it to happen.

We, the People, of the United States of America.

Yup.

You reap what you sow.

I personally understand the underlying REASON for Universal Health Care. Because everyone should have access to medical care when they are sick and/or dying. We all know about basic necessities, and access to Health Care I consider one.

Wayyyyy back when, before we had all this "hey, let us get together and build cities, civilizations, yadda yadda yadda", most small units had one (or more) individuals that specialized in healing and treating the sick. Everyone had access to this, btw. This is because you want to keep the members of your small unit as long as possible.

Perhaps it is not important to you to keep your fellow American around, Jestah, but it is to me.

Access to air, water, food, shelter, education and health care should be general necessities that normally should be carried by Society. The rest, you earn.

Wow, I go away for a few days and the forum wakes up. Nice to see some passion in here. Allewyn, I sense great fear and anger in you young padawan.

I personally am done with the "ist" and "ism" shit. It's all wordplay which causes fear and separation in populations. We're all cut from the same cloth, can we all hug and fucking evolve already? Be a good person and do no harm, that's all that matters. If the government and those in control of society (whom I think are of two general types, with few exceptions; criminals and ideologues, ideologues being the more dangerous breed) want to take my money for health care, whatever. Better than starting wars and bombing primarily innocent people.

I agree WS, access to those things for everyone are in all our best interests. Can government provide those things, should government provide those things? Depends on the government. Can ours? Looks like we'll find out. In the end though, any human system has it's failings over time.

By definition health care is not a necessity and there isn't too much wiggle room here but you can rest assured everyone has access to care - they just have to pay for it.

So, really, this thread should be titled, "One Russian Types Something in an Op-Ed."

And then most of the "Obama is a {INSERT FAVORITE RED HERRING}" posts can just be ignored.

For more depth about why this nation is not in danger of becoming a {RED HERRING}, please read the Constitution. We are no more {RED HERRING} than we were in the 50's, and in many cases we are less. For more information on new policies that are making America into a {RED HERRING}, please go ahead and continue to make up whatever crap supports your cause. For actual information, I refer you again to the Constitution.

And for specific examples, let's remember:

Socialized medicine != Socialism
Medicare != Socialism
Religious Tolerance != Islamo-fascism
Social Welfare Systems != Fascism
Obama != Hitler
Red != Green
These Droids != What you're looking for

If you still need help, please pull your head out of your ass. You'll need fewer flashlights to find your keys.

They're going to say "You might think I'm crazy."

Then when the table turns, they're gonna say "All I want is you."

It's like the myth stumbleupon came up with but with less extreme.

By definition health care is not a necessity and there isn't too much wiggle room here but you can rest assured everyone has access to care - they just have to pay for it.

Exactly what definition are you using? I'm sorry, but I'd have to say health care is an absolute necessity.

And to say that everyone has access to health care, they just have to pay for it, is absurd. By your own logic, people without money would then not have access. I don't believe a child should die just because his parents are poor, no matter the reason.

If there's one thing a country should provide for its citizens, it's medical care. "Every man for himself" isn't a philosophy we should apply to life and death in a civilized society.

Hear hear.

In a society that ensures the necessity of a rich/poor divide that spawns entire swathes of people (hard-working and otherwise) who are unable to afford simple health care, I would suggest that a basic national health care system would be a sensible step, if only to ensure that there are fit and healthy workers there to keep the lucky minority in the manner to which they are accustomed.

To be perfectly honest, the fact that a rich, fat, greedy country like America has no provision for the healthcare of its more disadvantaged citizens just sounds backward. There are third-world countries with more sensible policies... but then, they probably wouldn't still be third-world if it wasn't necessary to keep them that way for the benefit of the rich, greedy, and fat.

To say "health care for those that can afford it" is just backward. To ignore the plight of so many in YOUR OWN COUNTRY who are unable to get the most basic health care even though they work (you're just being stupid if you think every worker has health insurance)... that's just sick.

My country is no better though. Sure, the UK has a 'free' health service, but while my government lines the pockets of oppressors (or generally, the already-rich) in poorer countries, it ignores the elderly freezing to death in their own homes for lack of the cost of heating, it ignores the children living and begging on the streets of its own capital, and it dismisses the ongoing absurdity of bureaucracy that denies life-saving drugs to patients who happen to be in the wrong postcode...

Maybe I'm just ranting, but the truth is, without the work and support of those classes you deem unworthy of basic human rights, you'd be worthless. Your comfort, your wealth, your health - it all relies on the many layers of your society, right down to the great masses that can't afford simple health care. A health service that is accessible to all is not charity - it's an investment in the very machine that makes your country work, and keeps you in large-screen tellies and potato chips.

this is all a system that we are living in, the people in power are forcing us and telling us how to live our lives and we are following their every suggestion religiously. i guess the movies like flux and minority report and others are true to this extent. we are apprehensive of the change and yet change is the only constant in our lives.
