First let me start by saying i dont know if this is the right place to ask, but if could have a pass this once i would be very appreciated. Now...

I am starting a new partnership with two associates. I will not say friends as i have not know them long enough to call them that. My question is this. If there is a three man team creating e-commerce sites what would be a fair ownership split of the company while taking into account each persons responsibilities.

The responsibilities are as follows.

Me - I handle all the php, html, css, and sql that interacts with the database and some photo adjustments. I also own the hosting arrangements for the site to be shown to customers live before purchase and for general live based testing Most customers will get or already have their own hosting agreements for their live sites. (sql meaning i create the database and write the calls for CRUD tot he database)

Partner 2 - Handles the Layout design, color scheme and any custom pictures.

Partner 3 - Is an engineer who creates accounting software for companies. Does not know php but has coding knowledge in other c based languages. And he may or may not take some database responsibilities (im thinking maybe just data entry as that i already write the code for tables and manipulating them). He also is the person who's customers we market too.

Real Question:
I feel as if i have the most responsibilities. I should own more than the 33 1/3% that comes with an equal split. Is that a fair assessment and if so what would you think would be a fair split. And if you don't what are your comments as to why equal shares is fair.

You can communicate with the other two partners about the issue of equal responsibilities.

But i think it is ok, you can learn more than them and make progress faster than them.
