I've had a lot of mice. It used to be a ritual every six months to get a new one. The one that I have right now ain't so bad, but not that great. Of all of the mice that I've had, I've only mourned the passing of one. Now, I'm very different with keyboards. No matter what keyboard I have, it is mine. I use it - and only it - and my hands get to know it intimately. I will use someone else's keyboard on occassion when I have to, on his/her machine, but it feels funny. Unfamiliar and strange. Like temporarily wearing a brand new pair of boxers. I can, but it is weird. Last night I pulled apart my keyboard and cleaned it like I have many times before over the years that I've had it. Cheap as it was, it served me very well. My fingertips familiar with every little knick and some keys custom worn to my touch. I plugged it in and it was fine. I got up this morning only to find that it had died in its sleep. I'm typing this with a new keyboard and it makes me feel kind of sleazy. Like I've moved on way too soon. I'm still mourning and here I am already molesting a new keyboard. The keys are a little more shallow, Caps Lock is hard to feel with my pinky, and the dots on F & J are almost non-existant. :sigh:
