Been working on something for awhile. Came up with a data structure and algorithm for maps in n-dimensions. Hypercubes and more. I have been thinking about what this method is called because I'm sure it has been used before. I think the best way to describe it would be a graph with n-nodes and n-connections. Not quite n-connections, like each node can have at most x*2+y*2-4 connections. I'm curious is any of you good folks can think of any games that have a graph node mapping system that actually takes advantage of the arbitrariness of connections? Very curious to see what other folks may have done with such a system in a game. I started Googling about an hour ago, getting plenty of graphs, but none for actual games just yet.
