Other "slimie" problems

A right parenthesis after a quote and before a period is incorrectly recognized as a winking slime. See Q: How do I make a cross-browser scroller?

Slimies should have valign="absmiddle" in order to match the way the Asylum treats them (this also avoids the appearance that there are two newlines before a line containing a slime).
