Why did ~Vp~ retire?

It was June 9th 2002, and word came down from the warden that ~Vp~ had finally achieved 'sanity' and as such was granted full and unequivical 'release status'.

With much uncertainty, ~Vp~ gathered up his meager belongings and his trusty 'mop', and stepped outside the Asylum walls that had been home for so long.

With a hop, skip, skip and a jump, ~Vp~ headed off into the future........
