There are a lot of different RAM 'specifications' the best way to find out the appropriate RAM type for an exisiting computer is to check you manual as it will tell you what type you can put in your machine. However, it is also worth checking the website of Crucial as they are not just one of the leading RAM manufaturers but there site is one of the most comprehensive resources on RAM and, as well as an extensive FAQ, if you have a common type of PC you can go through their guide to the RAM that will work in your system.

More later.
