What graphic types should I use on my webpage?

The main graphic types for webpages are GIFs and JPGs, as they are designed to have some degree os compression to make the files smaller, other formats are usually meant to store higher quality copies of your image. There is also the PNG format which offers compression and transparency with less loss of image quality.
