Good sources for textures:

At this site you can see different color text on the texture, you can change the color of the texture, you can make buttons from the texture...etc. it's rather cool!

Mayang's Free Textures v9.1
Loads of textures here! All(or nearly all) are 1600x1200. There's a download limit of 50 textures/ip address every 2-3 days or you can buy them.
