Check all cable connections.
If that doesn't work, melt it with extreme amount of gasoline and take pictures.
Go to store and buy a new floppy drive.
Last time I looked, they are around $20 around here.

My first reaction was "So what?"

My second reaction was "So what? Borrow someone elses floppy, copy all your stuff to your harddrive or CD, and trash and burn the floppy Drive, set BIOS to boot cycle from CD-Rom.

Hell how many floppies can you possibly have to recover... mail them to me, I'll do it for you... But I want pictures of that burning floppy drive before I send a CD.

I recently got a USB keychain drive which kicks the pants off of floppies any day.

Have you made any changes to the BIOS or to Windows?

Can you get to the drive from DOS by useing a: <ENTER>, (Make sure a disk is in the drive)?

Does the drives light come on?
Does the drive make any sound sound or flicker its light on boots? If the light on the drive doesn't come on I think it time for a new floppy drive. Also try unplugging the cables from the floppy and cleaning them with rubbing alchol.

If your floppy has gone the way of the dodo, it's time to upgrade to a CD burner... You can get a new floppy, as has been mentioned, for about $20-$30 USD. But CD's hold ever so much more information...

Don't be frightened of the new technology... it's good! Trust us!
Then for kicks - get a camera and some gasoline!
