Me and my buddy were thinkin' about who the best livin' band could be. Here is what we put togethor.

Drums: Dave Grohl
Why: Definete Stayin' Power. Tru Rocker! + we like nirvana

Rythem Guitar: Jason Pierce
Why: Most psychadelic guitarist out there!

Bass: Howie Day
Why: Because that stuff he loops with his petals is awesome.

Harmonica: John Popper
Why: What song couldn't be made better with harmonica? Really?

Lead Guitar: Trey Anastasio
Why: Great guitarist, decent backup vocals, plus he fits. This was mostly my buddy's vote, but I caved in because of his Oysterhead stuff.

Vocals: Gavin Rossdale
Why: Cause hes' underated and cool. But we're takin his guitar away from him.

Keyboards and misc. synths: Johnny Greenwood
Why: He makes some really inovative stuff.

What would you're guys favorite living bands be?

I really don't keep up with enough music and bands these days to even have a chance at answering this. Even if I did, I usually have a very difficult time narrowing things down to a single favorite in anything. I like so many different things and so much of it depends on my mood. I could answer one day and have a very different answer the next.

The single coolest band I ever had the good fortune to see was made up of two DJs on three turntables, a live drummer/vocalist, a live bassist, and one guy on electroacoustic gear (sequencers, effects rigs, etc) just freely manipulating everyone else's sound. Thus, I propose DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, BT, the drummer from 311 whose name I can never remember, and the bassist of your choice.
