We have done so.

3 is R-type, and 2 is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember.

Isn't #2 Ghosts 'N' Goblins? That game was ridiculously difficult...

Yup, I played R-Type and R-type 3 as well... Funny games. I also tried to play Ghost 'N' Goblins (I didn't remember the name though..), that friggin' game was so damn hard, I didn't even could get past the first level. I also remember playing the last game on a SEGA emulator, but I don't remember the name... My memory is too weak

Nonetheless, do these ones remember you something :

Hmm, I should know these a bit better than I do... oh, and I'm posting before reading the previous responses just to test myself.

1. Boulderdash (or one of its many derivatives)... totally unsure about this one.

2. Probably Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, because it looks too high-res to be Ghosts 'n' Goblins.

3. It LOOKS like R-Type, but the little thingies flying alongside the ships aren't the R-Type assistant vehicles. I think that instead, it's one of the many games which mimic R-Type's general visual style.

4. Anyone who doesn't know Strider doesn't play video games. Not only is he a classic from the Sega and NES days, but he's made a triumphant return lately as a contestant in the Marvel vs. Capcom games, and as the star of his own new game. The exact screenshot is from either the arcade or Genesis version.

Checked below... man, 3. really is an R-Type? I'm so used to the drone floating in front of you... guess I'm thinking of a different R-Type game. Too damn many of 'em...

Damn you, Moon Shadow:
1. Not sure about the name. Old Intellivision game where you have to defuse the bomb? If it is, it's one of the first talkies for Intellivision.
2. Raiden. Wait, it looks like Raiden, but I'm not sure.

Does anybody remember a game where you have to plant bombs? Called Demolition or something along those lines. Top view and you could squeeze up against the walls. When you planted a bomb, the screen changed for a second to a hand planting a bomb for a brief second. I love this game, but I can't remember the name.

Moonshadow's;

Supaplex and Raptor... Supaplex was way brilliant. Oddly enough, I just started playing it again 2 weeks ago. there's a bit of a scrolling problem with my video card.
