I seem to have lost the ability to save any web images in their native format like GIF or JPG by right clicking on the image. I am defaulted to a choice of Bitmap and the name is always Untitled. I am unable to select something different and renaming or saving otherwise ends up with a corupt file. I have been unable to find any setting I have somehow changed to cause this. Has anyone ever had something similar or have any suggestions. Otherwise I guess I will try to reinstall it or something. I have never seen this before.

This is a well known problem with IE, when it stops properly caching images. The solution is to empty your Temporary Internet Files and you'll be able to save images in their original format again...

I thought that was the first thing I had done. But I tried it again and it worked after shuting down IE and restarting it. Thanks.

Since we're complaining about IE problems, I use IE as my default browser and for some odd reason I can't open HTML pages (by double clicking on the icon) when an instance of IE is already running.

It'll work for the first page if IE isn't already running, but then next page I try and open produces an error dialouge with "There was a problem sending the command to the program". -- This started happeing several days after I re-installed XP (wasn't happening at all with my previous install) and I'm so not in the mood to do another re-install just to fix this problem.
