Whoa, $75? They gotta find a way to bring those prices down.

$75 for the finished piece, I'm sure the kit costs less than that...

Well I have been talking to Lacuna about this (yes for all those out there wondering we spend our time talking about cross stitch and flower arranging) and it depends on the size of the piece and the complexity (and the density of the stitches) so the text ones would be relatively easy while the larger more complex pieces (like the cattle one) would be more expensive.

Oh, I know -- my mom used to do cross-stitch. And I'm sure those who see a good work of cross-stitch as a piece of art might pay $75 for one. But I think anyone who would typically be interested in a gag cross-stitch like those wouldn't pay that much.

Wes: Yep I checked with Lacuna (on her sick bed) and she rckons $30 would be more reasonable and I'm sure they'd shift more. Apart from the cattle one the slogans are distinctly unsubtle and with a bit of thought one could come up with better ideas for that kind of thing

Incidentally, someone needs to get the Guru Chat back up so I can resume my drunken Saturday-night chats with Lacuna.

Wes: LOL - it is currently down while Pugzly tracks down the rogue process that keeps crashing Running Wolf's servers (it is down at the moment) but once that is sorted we'll have it back up again (as it were)

[edit: GN is back up for those wondering]
