Anybody here ever make your own screen savers?

know how to do it?

Slide show should be easy i would think, but is there a way to use animations... say created in a 3d app?

You make a program taht does that, that one mouse/keyboard behaviour closes, and change extension to .scr. Try flahs for pretty things.

yes. I know how to do it:
you write a little windows program that tells windows it's a screensaver,
write serveral funky routines for the settings, and the mini screensaver, and the like,
and have it close itself on keyboard/mouse input. Oh, and you rename the exe to scr.
That's about it. Trivial if you know Delphi or VB, pretty easy if you're fluent in Visual C...

though I'm certain there's a 'make your own animated screensaver'-toolkit out there which you just hand a video, and it turns it into a screensaver.
