Topic awaiting preservation: What do you listen when you work

I always lisen something while I am working (or e-mailing anonymous death treat), my favorite web radio is:

Swedish radio: http://www.sr.se/ , it's fast to type I like it even if I understand nothing swedish people like good music.

Doc Mailloux: http://www.ckac.com/ , that one is in french (only). Between 12h30 to 15h30 East Canada. The reception is not that good and often broken. It's not that late you can get it in Europe I did it some times while I was working in Berlin. Basicaly it's a psy line you some folk call said my father abuse me, my mother suck, my boss gave me some problem, I want to kill myself, everything! Monday to Friday;

Radio france International: http://www.rfi.fr/ , You can get it in several language. Unfortunaly it's repetitive a little.

RDI, http://www.radiocanada.ca/radio/ (french) clic: "Radio a la Carte" I like to select the live option (Direct) and then I can listen what is on the TV (without picture)... the english version is there http://www.cbc.ca/programguide/radio/ and RCI (radio canada international) http://www.rcinet.ca/ is in several language In 8 languages (never listen).

I don't like Deutsche Welle World (German waves), http://www.dwelle.de but sometimes I take the German live programm.

Tell me what do you listen. What you like what you don't...

Do you know some other psy line, I want to searche for that...

Small children screaming "Daddy I want {_______}!". No volume control.

And the occasional thud of a toy hitting the wall, floor, ceiling, or occasionally, the other child. The last one being the most annoying. Still, no volume control. I am looking for a way to disable the "Sound Card of Life". No luck so far...

Comic: the only time the volume is off is when the kids have left the house, then you will probably be asking for those days when the kids were kids again.

Sometimes to block it out, I tune to a local techno station.

earplugs work great for suppressing kid noise...I even used to sleep with earplugs when my kids used to get up early and start banging around...
