What is it you ask? It is the Firefox of IE. Not really a stand alone browser, and has some of the good qualities of IE but with even more stuff to customize. Since i dont have permission to put a link just go search for MyIE2 and take a look at it atleast.

Has anyone here heard of this browser before?

Never tried any of these so-called IE shells, and I don't intend to anytime soon. They can pile as many features as they want on top of IE, but it's still IE. Nope, I'm happy with Firefox.

ozphactor said it all. IE shells are still IE and as such their support of the most basic recommendations is years behind the current standards. I once tried NeoPlanet, but in that time I was young and ignorant of the importance of the standards. The only reason for which I still use IE at times is its faster rendering engine for heavy DHTML things ( like my raycasting experiments juggling with ~1,000 elements )

[edit] Oh, and I use ( 4 versions of ) IE to add/test the hacks in my CSS [/edit]

I use 5. Oh wait, IE3 doesn't even support external stylesheets. Ah, what the heck, I still use it to surf the web and see all the pages break.

Yep, my post may have a theatrical tone but it reflects my personnal ( and unfortunately not my professional ) usage of the various browsers.

BTW, it's all at your honour of bipolar Mad Sci. to end with 666 posts
