There are dozens if not thousands. Start with www.netscape.com.

The Netscape Doc are all good and dandy if your only developing for Netscape Browsers, but they tend not to mention when things won't work in Internet Explorer. The major differences are only in the object models but there are differenced none the less.

For information on M$'s you could try here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp

But to be frank (I like being frank, he's nice guy ), I don't really know of any IE 5/6 DOM reference. I'm sure Max/Slime/Buggs/BitD and the like could help you out in that area though.

Actually the best way to learn javascript is not to learn it at all.
That's right. Just shamelessly ripoff other people's code from professional looking websites and then put your own copyright on it. This eliminates reading thru tons of poorly written documentation plus you have the satisfaction of being a "code pirate" which sounds very cool. Better still, use the pirated code to write your own documentation and then submit to the the New York Times or Oprah for the best-seller list inclusion.

Well, not really. I've never stripped the copyrights and said that it was my script before. I've hacked out some copyrights that showed up int the HTML of the page the script was running on but I always left the copyrights in the comments of the script itself. So I guess I'm guilty of that. But saying you can write javascript that you can't is gonna come back on your one day.

I do it all the time, and not just with computer code either.
I'm working on a book i've ripped off right now. Takes place
in the South during the American Civil War. Calling it "Left the place with the Breeze"
should do very well.

VBA, I wouldn't go shouting your habbits of intelectual fraud of the tops of mountains around here. People round here are eager to stand up for what they believe in, and they do it extreamly well.

Drac:
Just try to stop me. I'm presently working on a way to compress
music from cds and allow the distribution freely on the internet.
Sort of a jpeg for music. It will work by a process ripping (as in rip off)
the wave files from the cds and then compressing them.

Not sure what i will call the file format though. Maybe MD3, no MK3. MP3?? .nah, not sure yet.
Soon you will see major albums by the Beatles and Rolling stones being exchanged and even sold
under my name..i will be the next great band! VBA rocks! VBA's greatest hits

I also have the title/deeds to the Brooklyn Bridge. I plan to sell it on ebay
but Drac, if you want first bid, let me know ok?

Ok, that was just plain mean on my part. Remember when you asked if i was kidding? well guess what?

edit: realizes that Drac must be very young and doesn't comprehend VBA's exceedingly strange mind. feels like prick, well sort of.

Heh, yeah, I was kidding too btw =) although I have also taken scripts in the far past, even without copying the copyright code in it. But I think any page I actually did that too has been deleted long since. Now I just write my own scripts. =)
