I'm not even sure if this is possible.
Is there a text wrap function or something to keep a section from expanding

Here is the page. http://www.clockworkdesign.net/demo/louisville_golf/

See how the main topics (parent) define the width and height of the sub-menu sections (child)?? How can I cut those squares down to just be as wide as the text it contains?

Not sure what you mean. I get the pull downs, but no child menus from those.

Ok I may have used the wrong term.

Example: Hover over "Drivers". See how "Jon ryan dogwood" is the largest topic? Well if I didn't tell it to be a certain width the largest topic, in this case "Jon ryan dogwood woud still set the total width for the table. I want to bring the menu width on each topic to be just as wide as the words it contains, but I can only set the width to one thing right now and it is for all of it. Do I need to break up each topic?

I'll try to draw this out so you can see what I mean better.

Instead of applying the background color to the box surrounding the text elements, apply the background color to each text element individually. If you're surrounding each link with A tags, apply it to the A tag. Otherwise, put a <span> tag around each individual link, and apply the backround color to that.
