I am attempting to resolve an issue with HierMenus we have on our site. When a user with large fonts enabled views the menu items, the text may be cut off vertically (i.e. the height of the containing cell isn't sufficient to hold the text). We aren't having trouble with the positioning of the menus, but the code necessary to build the child menus requires that we provide a height and width for the child menu items.

I would think that the menu is built using tables and would thus expand to fit the contents, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Would setting overflow help? Ideally, any fix would work in NN4+ and IE4+.

Sounds like a definite bug to send back to the developers. I wish I had the time to figure out all the complexities of that litle gem.

Further research showed me that the script we're using is actually from DynaimcDrive. I was misinformed earlier.

We ended up designing the menus specifically for large fonts. The appearance is a bit odd for small fonts, but at least they work for everyone now.
