More opera problems, yay me!

Is there any way to re-define the width of an element in Opera without it doing weird things?

Setting obj.pixelWidth without the "px" values will kind of work but it won't re-wrap the contents (like simple text).

Why does something so simple not work! Grrr... I hate this browser.

Opera has a lot of problems with layer resizing. Hopefully they will be fixed in the version 7, but until then, I would suggest you to simply forget about it...

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Although Opera doesn't support clipping, it can be "emulated" with a little help of nested layers and overflow...

No, I was also trying to do that.

You can move the nested layer around but changing the size of the parent layer does strange things, and that goes double if the nested layers aren't absolute.

Ok, well, as long at it's just not me stuffing things up. Time to trash opera support once again. Thanks guys.
