Are there any coolmenus users here?

I'm having a problem with a menu that simply won't stay in place when the browser window is smaller than the menu itself.
Posted a question about it on dhtmlcentral's own forum but had no luck. It's a gamble, but if you've had the same problem and might know about a hidden parameter somewhere that would solve it I would sure like to hear about it.

Thanks!

Err, maybe some a better indication as to what's wrong would help, maybe a link to a page with the problem.

Sure. The site is up and running now so you can have a look.

The problematic site

The problem, like I said, occurs when you resize your browser window so that it's smaller than the menu.

Hmmm..

That ~is~ fixable but it would be a ripe royal pain in the rear end to do it. Defiantly not worth the effort as it won't effect many visitors.

If your determined then have a play with the CSS for the menu positioning, that might be able to fix it but I know nothing of the coolmenus code so I can't make any promises. Failing that, you'll need to tackle it by keeping tabs on it's position relative to the window edge and alter the menu?s position accordingly. Although that's not an easy task unless your rather well versed with javascript to begin with.

Something to do with oCMenu.menuplacement="center" maybe (but i dont know a lot) - try 'left'

Dracusis: I know it's fixable since in a later version of the same script the menu does stay put. However, that later version is completely rewritten so I can't make a comparison between the two scipts to figure it out. I also can't use the later version of the script here since it doesn't support frames which this site requires. (Ack!)
I guess this must be what it's like to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

FatRod: Good suggestion but no, I've tried that already.

Just in case anyone's interested I've found the gremlin in the code at last.

By making sure the background bar didn't resize (changed the value 1 to 0) the manu stays in place.

Menu.resizecheck=0

Would have been perfectly logical... if I'd used a background bar. Oh well. Don't mess with something that works I always say. ;-)
