Ok, I'm not a coder, though I design websites often...anyways...I'm looking for a script or scirpts that will let me add news dynamically? (I don't know if that's the right word, I want something like a shoutbox, only password protected or something...)
I will start looking tomorrow, as I'm sleepy now, and I know that shoutboxes are done with php, but I'd rather use DHTML or Javascript if I can...

OR, if it could be possible to create a template with text fields for : date, subject, news...And when I hit submit or whatever, it would add it to the main page.

I think that this is probably asking too much out of DHTML, and I probably be looking for some php scripts, I'm just asking can it be done?

It can be done, but as you guessed, not with DHTML/JavaScript only. Server side coding is required. JavaScript is not necessary, though could be used to enhance a shoutbox or something like that in various ways.

(The reason is that JavaScript doesn't have the ability to save files on the server.)
