how do i create my own search engine like google, yahoo does for search within my website which runs on asp?

I must say you aren't beating around the bush here on in your first post:

This is quite a complex issue and if you don't know how to do the highlighting then I'd suggest you work up to a web search engine. Break what you want to do down into chunks and then research each chunk.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to build a search engine to search just one site and then use the principles to extend it to the Internet?
