Hello guys.
Been experimenting with photoshop nite and day.
I've found a way to make a "shine".
Use the paintbrush tool and pick the color white.
Brush size I think offhand is about 70.
Dab each corner of an object once.
Gaussian blur it by 0.7 pixels.
Go to filter, then use the unsharp mask tool, threshold at 0
And adjust the other two to the brightness of your liking.

You guys know I have a hec of a way of explaining things, but i'm working on it.
I just wanted to know, are there tutorials for making "glitter" effects, or sparkles?
Thanks for reading

Depending on the size, I think that some of the custom brushes work quite well for a "sparkle".

Yay. Possibility 2:

Make black layer. Set black layer either to screen or Color dodge, linear dodge could work too.
Then, make with brush spots where you want shiny things to appear. When you're done, duplicate this layer.
Run on both layers the filter>blur>motion blur twice, at a setting of about 30 pixels. Run this motion blur filter on one layer horizontally, on the other vertically. voila.
