Topic awaiting preservation: font stuck in italics? (Page 1 of 1)

For the life of me I can't figure out whats wrong with my Photoshop, or with me...

Every time I use the Text option, the text is in italics, EVEN if the type face says regular. When I change to italics, it stays the same. When I change to regular, it stays the same. I'm cursed with permanent italic text. Help!

Make sure Faux Italic isn't on.

tried to fix it in the 'character' menu when i typed something in using the type tool. couldn't even find an option called 'faux italics,' even though i did read about it in the photoshop docs and now understand what it is. doh.
