Hi all, I am 16 and I have just started college and I am starting a graphic design course. I know a fair amount of information on HTML, CSS, PHP and the XHTML standard, but there in lies my problem, I am not that good with photoshop and the graphical side of web development, I have survived by making simple interfaces for my sites but now I want to go further and really advance my skills so I can draw people, buildings, objects exedra...

I know this takes years of practice, of which I am willing to put in that practice.....

So why post here I hear you ask, well everybody must start somewhere right, I have seen several sites with little tutorials on interfaces and web effects but they do not really cover what I want to learn, so I would be very appreciative if anybody could direct me to, CD's, books, DVD?s, online tutorials or even personal help, anything that could help me basically...

Thank you ever so much in advance,

~Sk8rRIMuk

P.S. If anybody needs help and you think I could help I would be happy to

Well there are a couple places on the web that have tutorials on them, here is one of them. Another good place to look for tutorials is to search on Google.
Some other sites are -
www.adobe.com/products/tips/photoshop.html
www.pslover.com
www.absolutecross.com
http://www.mccannas.com/pshop/photosh0.htm

[If there are any others someone lemme know.]
[EDIT: Can't get those darn URL's posted straight...]

Hello and welcome Sk8rRIMuk
I reccommend you check the tutorials here at the Asylum and at the Gurus Network . And if you are having specific problems, try to post example images (or links to them if they are large) in the most suitable thread.

Arrgh ... BRUMMIES !!! ... OK - I admit it - I grew up in the Black Country (Smethwick and Walsall) ... brought a tear to my eye to see that my old home (from 7 yrs old to 11 yrs old) had been dismantled brick by brick and rebuilt at the Black country Museum ... !!
