I'm quite new to these things (I'm learning!!) and I don't seem to be able to get a mask I downloaded into a channel of another active image. I'm trying to do the fire lettering (ozone). Maybe it's too much for me. Any help?

In order to paste the mask you need to copy it first .

And these are the steps:

1.) Open the image for the mask, go to select and click on select all and under edit click on copy.

2.) Go back your main image and click on the channels.
create a new channel and with that channel active go to edit - click on paste.

Hope it helps It is a great Tutorial to learn from and I don't think it is to much for you if you have gotten that far !!!
