All my attempts look horrible.

does anyone here know of one, or has the skill to create one

IMO the best way to do it would to draw a couple layers. The person sitting in a chair, the interior of the robot, and finally the exterior of the robot. Have the exterior layer on top, the person layer next and the interior last. Voila, instant person in a robot. Do I get a cookie?

PS: That's a really obscure search >.> Kinda like searching for "Hawain coconut trees that are only five feet tall in the main island". Make it less obscure, like maybe "Drawing Magna Robots" or "Cockpit views". Thats as far as I can help ya. I'm trying something similar and i'm using my method above.

Ruku: Good explantion but it relies on that interpretation of "picture of a person into robot" and it could mean a picture of a person turning into a robot.

Either way your suggestion is sound - unless kurt gets lucky finding the image the best way to find what they want is to get busy and make it.

point taken

i meant: how can i make a picture of someone and turn it into a robot like person (wires, iron skin)

result: manlike machine in which you still can recognize someone

thought it was somewhat impossible to pour that into a tutorial.

And as i'm not experienced enough, i'll have to think of something else, like a ghost (anyone got a tut for that )

Guys there IS a tute out here whereby a famous actress seen in a long backless dress from behind is turned into an android.

For the life of me though, i just can't recall the site the tute is on. hmmm...

Go to this forum and search the Photoshop tutes'n'tips board for "robot" or "android" or "biomech": http://www.eyeball-design.com/fxzone/frames03.htm
I believe this is where i first saw the link to the tute i'm talking about.

There are tons of tutorials out there that cover the pieces of what you'd need to do to convert a person to a robot.

There are no tutorials that show you exactly what to do step by step.

Do some searches for metal, wires, screws, bolts, rust, etc and you'll have all the pieces you need. It will be up to you to put them altogether and it will probably take you several tries. By actually trying though you'll slowly learn what works and what doesn't and you'll get better.

Why not start over at the Gurus Network? There's a great tutorial on metal objects by Darkgarden. Then do some tutorials on making wires and cables with PS.
