WTF is up with the disgusting picture?

Can somebody remove that???

Nice - I just posted a link to Ozone Asylum for some professional photographers, telling them how artistic the members are here, and that trash gets posted.

Dumb.

well uh... as INI said... yah, that was strange so nevermind the following... except that Scott didnt say who or why he was insulting some one.

uh... Scott99999, this is for fun. This is speed painting. It happens fast, and is down and dirty fun baby. This is public domain too, and this thread is for paintings. Please do not post again like that in THIS thread or i will delete it. Right out insulting people, is not called for, and I will not tolerate it in this thread. If you looked into what Amerasu has painted in the past, I think you would realize that Amerasu is a very good artist.

I dont care if you want to start another thread if you feel like you need to talk about it more, just please not here.

Thanks! and eh... Carry on the painting.

Actually the image that showed up in synax's post wasn't his fault. It was because I was messing with the .htaccess for my domain scudly.com, which is where synax stores all his images in a subdomain, mostly because a hacker of some sort got access to my site and used it as an mp3 dump, so I enabled the htaccess to prevent him from linking to anything on my site. So don't get mad at synax he didn't even know I turned it on.

Yes, obviously, some people saw the picture that I was talking about. It was a woman having diarrhea all over herself.

Unfortunately, it was shown right after I recommended this site to a bunch of pro photographers looking for inspirational Web sites.

UGH.

I was telling them how wonderful all of the artists are here. And since they often look for graphic designers and artists for PAID work on their Web sites, I was a bit ashamed to have mentioned it after I saw that image.

We can move on, but I wanted to take a moment to defend my first post. As for why I didn't go into more detail: the image spoke for itself. (*pukes*)

scot, I'm not saying what you said was wrong. Yes there was tubgirl.jpg there for a while, yes it's disgusting, but I put it in place to try to discourage, and generally fuck with the person who had comprimised my server and used it as an illegal mp3 dumpsite. Also if that's the very first time you've seen tubgirl, then you haven't been around the internet very long, that image is very old.

Beleive it or not, the internet is a very useful tool which some of us use for things other than surfing the blogs and finding nasty-ass fetish porn sites....

So, you're trying to say there's more to the internet than ass and ill tempered egos?

No... I don't believe it.

Yes -- I've been around long enough to see nasty stuff.

Accident or not, sometimes people take for granted that it can be personally (and mutually) beneficial to realize that it's good to represent yourself well. I.e., you never know who's watching: potential future clients, business partners, friends, etc... I know for my own site, I get hits from 50+ countries from all types of people.

Nobody needs to be Mother Teresa, but it does argue in favor of not having the most humanly disgusting images in a thread about speed painting. Obviously, you thought the image was revolting (which is why you have it on your server), so it's clear other people would think the same thing.

Not a big deal; just a bit surprising and awkward since I just sent the link to business associates/professional peers.

Back to the rodents....

I recently downloaded the trial version of Painter 8 so this is a quickie to play around with it. Of course you can't save anything in the demo so I had to screenshot this and paste into Photoshop. I wish I were $400 richer, it's a nice program... really nice I think I may go back to using the lite version of Painter 7 that came with my wacom now and then. I forgot how cool it can be.
