No matter what I feel about HTML-emails (*yuck*) I've agreed to help a friend of mine create one.

Creating the html-page is no problem, but what I can't figure out is how to insert it in the email so that it's actually shown, and not just appears as an attachment.

I could of course do all layout in Outlook in HTML-email-mode, but I would really prefer to do the page separately to keep control of what's happening.

Does anyone know how to get that html-page to show up correctly in a new email?
Please note that I'm using Outlook incl exchange-server and not Outlook Express.

A quick google-search turned up mostly garbage, but I've got to share this: http://www.how-to-easily-create-and-profit-from-html-email.com/
(now how about that url )

Good luck.

Have never used OutLook, but in outlook-express all you have to do is select the stationary you want to use (html file).

Find the directory that stores your signatures, and drop it into there. Then open a new email and insert the signature. Just a thought. You can also open a web page in IE and do a FILE>SEND>PAGE BY EMAIL

Thanks for all the tips.

I do not have a done stationary, but I need to create one.

The problem with all things I've tested (incl. send page by email) is that it becomes an attachment instead of showing the page in the email. Guess I'll have to keep trying....

(edit)
Finally got it!
The easiest way seems to be to create all layout in Word, markup the page and copy/paste it into my new Outlook message. Stupid MS... (the redmont company, not present company )

1 - Create a html template
2 - Outlook -> tools -> options -> mail format "Compose in HTML-format"
3 - Outlook -> tools -> options -> button "Signatures" -> create new -> use this file as template "yourFile.html"
"Ok" all the way out...

The next mail you open should be a html mail based on your template if I'm right.
