I was just wondering im pretty new to design but i do have some friends that can code a page good but are a little short on the graphic side of it. this is my question...

What is the going rate for say a header, buttons, interface or splash page for a web site. I know things vary but what would be a good estimated figure. should i charge on time, size?

thanks alot

By hour... that way you won't get screwed. It depends on quality of work, if it's just HTML, then you could start at $10/hr and build on that according to complexity. Keep in mind that clients are more web-savvy than they used to be! Hope I helped a bit

i agree with rattula though I currently get paid per project. I usta get paid around 11 per hour....BTW- I wasn't real good making graphic either untill I spend some time working with guys that did it all day long. Be thankful that they can code pages well.
