The only thing i can see that needs to be fixed is the links, the grey on the dashes clashes to much with the site's color, looks ugly. That's all i see that really needs to be fixed- other wise the site is quite nice; simple, and fast loading. Good job.

AerynShine: Welcome.

And for the lazy amongst us (myself included) the working link is:
www.SiriusConcept.com

[edit: and eyezaer beat me too it - it looks like I'm not the only one who is that lazy!!]

I must say that that splash page is awful - I'd recommend getting rid of it and having a link to the old design from the introduction of your new design.

Some thoughts:

1. Fill in your keyword and description metatags.

2. There a few more things that CSS can do away with like:

quote:
<p> </p>

<hr color="#000000">

3. The code is good and clean (although I would have thought that all that white space would have been annoying for you!!) with a nicely implemented CSS-only layout and then for some reason there is a table tagged on in the navigation area. It seems a bit odd after going to all that effort to put one in where it isn't needed.

4. Do you have a fax number? If not think of getting a free one to email - the more ways to contact you the better!!

5. I'm not sure why we need the date at the top (its not a news site).

6. I do like your portfolio page.

7. Its odd that you are using blogger - why not roll your own as a demonstration for clients? Have a look at DmS':
www.gurusnetwork.com/tutorials/php/dynamic_php_mysql_1.html

Overall it is a really well put together site that looks good and works well. Well done.

If you are going to stick around think about getting yourself on the Asylum web ring.

since your already ussing "addme" and being asked to use their dumb link back button...
might i suggest you also try
they do the same thing, but don't require that you link back, it's an option that they give you....

Whoa!

More feedback than I actually thought I would get...and all positive critiquing. I am SO groving on this site, now.

Thanks, Emp for all of the input. (One thing, though...all that white space seems to be generated by the PHP if I upload a revision to the file and don't remove any of it...it just adds a few more lines of whitespace. Anybody have any ideas as to why it would do that?)

I am working on removing all tables, as well. Some pieces of the site got put up faster than others and the timecrunch cost me a little.

I will post a revision once I've cleaned everything up. And, I am working on a much better splash page, too.

Sorry for not posting a live link. Guess I got lazy, myself.

Thanks, again, everyone!!

AerynShine: On the PHP uploading front I've not heard of that problem before. What are you using and have you got the FTP set up right (I can't think the problem is your code).

I usually use either Notepad or CuteHTML to code and then use either CuteFTP or Leech to upload files to my server.

It's a funky problem, huh?

AerynShine: Does the problem happens with both FTP programs (set to auto). A problem in your code would be pretty obvious. Perhaps it is the hosting company - you could ask them if anyone has reported anything odd.

Sorry I'm a bit lost for an answer but knowing the people here I'm sure one of them will spot the problem and jump in and offer a solution.

Thanks!

I have updated the code somewhat...and changed the splash page ...and, I will continue to revise over the weekend. The spacing issue is weird but not, by any means, a showstopper.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
