From what I know about AOL (I live in Australia and their only starting to invade now... eek!) they just built all their AOL like stuff (Dumbed it all down) around a pre existing web browser. I think they were using IE for a while but didn't AOL purchase Netscape?

I've often wondered why none had been talking about AOL and their screwy browsers for the last year or two... did I miss something? I think I did....

I guess AOL would fall under the "other" category. right?

Everything seems fine in the AOL browser.

actually AOL would not fall into the 'other' category, the last stat on browsing through AOL was that 51% of all web traffic was through AOL. I think they are at like 30million members now, how can that be under 'other'?

AOL has been using a proprietary version of IE since AOL 2.0. Whatever version of IE is out when AOL ships their latest, greatest revision will be the browser used. A few things I have noticed with the AOL internal browser that do NOT work correctly are javascript popups, all the ones in the link posted pop blank pages,(the ones under "bio" and "street team page" for example) it simply dosent work normally in AOL. The broser shake is another effect that chokes in the internal browser. Since you asked for a screenshot here is what it looks like with AOL using Internet Explorer v5.00.2614.3500

I had quite a bit more to say about AOL's browser in this thread.

Good luck
